types of friction

In this blog we are going to discuss about types of friction. Also see the given link to know about force of friction.
Frictional force is a resistive force, which oppose the relative motion between 2 bodies or 2 surfaces.

Type 1 : Static Friction- it is the force of friction which exactly balances the applied force in the work of the stationary state of the body..It is a self adjusting force i.e. it fine-tune its magnitude and direction so as to become exactly equal and opposite to the applied force.

Coefficient of static friction- For any six surfaces in contact, it is the ratio of the limiting friction F(rms) and the normal reaction R between them, denoted by u(s)

                                                                u(s)= F(rms) / R

The u(s) is a pure ratio with no units and it value depend on the state of polish of the six surfaces in contact .If the surfaces are smooth, the worth of  u(s) is small.
Next time we will see more about this concept.
Also one more thing i would like to say to you that Learning  English Language is very important now a days.So see the given link Learn English Language.

This link will help you to get good guide on Learn English Language.
