water pollution causes

In this blog we are going to discuss about water pollution causes. Also see the given link to know about air pollution causes.
*  Industrial wastes, containing heavy metals, harmful chemicals, by-products, organic toxins & oils, in to the nearby source of water is one of the visible causes of water pollution.
    * Human & animal wastes causes water pollution.
    * Effluents from factories, refineries, injection wells & sewage treatment plants are dumped in to urban water supplies, leading to water pollution.
    * plenty of pollutants, both harmful & poisonous, enter the groundwater systems through rain water.
    * The residue of agricultural practices, including fertilizers & pesticides, are some of the major sources of water pollution.
        * One more major source of water pollution comprises of organic farm wastes. When farmland, treated with pesticides & fertilizers, is irrigated, the excess nitrogen & poisons get mixed in to the water supply, thereby contaminating it.
    * Pathogens, sediments & chemical pollutants are other sources of water pollution.
Next time we will discuss more about this concept.
